So now that my Run Analysis/support theory is up, it’s time to finally tie in something I feel is important. And since I delayed this post for so long, I’m going to tie this into the final part of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, tying in Butterfly to Save Me.
By now, as fast as news travels with the internet and social media (specifically Snapchat in this case), most have heard about the controversy GOT7, specifically Yugyeom and BamBam has gotten themselves into. There’s a lot of white knighting of the ultimate defense of “oppa didn’t mean it” while people (mostly international fans) are outraged. And quite honestly, they have the right to be upset.
Here’s the small breakdown.
This post is super late and I apologize, but it’s finally here. I’ve been really busy as of late and just hadn’t found the time to sit down and analyze the video like I wanted to. But thanks to a recent bout of insomnia, I’ve had the chance to think and piece together my thoughts. There’s a lot more I have to say, but that post will have to wait because I want to piece them together properly to make a clearer puzzle.
But not to overload anyone with a lot of information, this post will serve more as a theory support than the analysis of Run that I was initially planning. It still holds some deep looking at aspects of the video, but not the same way I did with the On Stage Prologue. And I will link the Japanese MV of I Need You, into this as well.
I felt the need to put something up a little bit earlier than planned. If you follow me on Twitter, I mentioned I wouldn’t be putting up anything about the video until this coming Sunday the earliest. I need the initial shock of the MV to settle in before I can repeatedly watch it for an analysis. But since the video has come out, my MV Analysis of the prologue has shot up over 1k views in one day, which has NEVER happened. So thank you! For that, this post has been paid.
I’ve now watched the video twice and there are some things I noticed and will go back and look into more. But for now, here’s a list or even a small outline of what I’ve noticed during my two watches and will expand upon once I am able to sit down and piece together an analysis.
Following Z.TAO and Luhan, Kris Wu has released a song called Bad Girl. The release was to be expected since people have been waiting for Kris and Luhan to produce music since their departure from EXO. It’s funny to think about considering the time the three of them left the group. Kris left EXO first, followed by Luhan and TAO. Now with songs, it’s Z.TAO, Luhan, and now Kris.
Please watch the video and then read the review.
It’s been entirely too long and you’re coming back to a post like this. I know… but I am working on a personal post to make up for the silence.
In talking with the Seoulbeats family about VIXX and their BDSM concept, I wanted try and do an album review but more along the lines of a lyrical analysis, linking their lyrics to specific aspects of BDSM.
Now, BDSM is not something I know a lot about, in fact, I’ve heard of different kink terminology, but that’s the extent of my knowledge. I’m going to try to make this work as best as I can. I want to run with their theme of BDSM, so we are going to be taking this very strange journey… together.
Now that it is officially autumn, I find myself getting back into ballad and R&B artists. Pop and dance music season is over, see you late spring~ (says the person who went to BIGBANG’s concert yesterday). Thanks to Infinity Challenge, I discovered Zion.T, whom I’ve talked about on my blog before with Artist Impression and Artist Review. Today (or last night depending on how you look at it), he released a new single called No Makeup.
I’m sure if you’ve been following my blog, the lack of updates and segments are completely apparent, pretty much all of last month. Well, during that time, I was actually under training. And now that it’s official, I can say that I’m a part of the Seoulbeats family as a writer. Of course that means a lot of things, but here’s a small run down of concerns:
- No, I won’t be abandoning my blog. This is something I’ve wanted to do and I will continue to do it. Whatever I happen not to write about there, I will here.
- Yes, I will still review songs/artists as best as I can. I really want to continue my artist impression/review more than anything else.
- Since I’m some what a little shorter to write on time, I’m thinking of having some audio related posts. If you’re not aware, radio is something I used to do within the realm of Asian music and I want to get back into doing that. So I will try and have one audio post a week… I hope.
- If you ever comment on something, I will see it and I WILL reply. Just be patient! And it doesn’t matter if it’s a old post or one of my first ones, I will definitely get back to you.
- If at any time you want to reach out to me, you can. Either leave a comment or email me @ email@example.com
- A plan by the end of the year is to convert this into a site and not just a blog. I may change the name… but everything else will stay the same.
Phew! I want to thank everyone who have stuck with me through the luls of silence that this belong as had.
YG promised us we would be ringing in the New Year with iKON. But VIPs and BlackJacks know that unless we see a solid teaser, the date that’s announced isn’t the true release. So the seasons passed and now iKON is finally here with the change of seasons, giving us a mini album, which is only half of the present for their arrival.
So far we have My Type, Rhythm Ta, and Airplane. I want to do a general review about these three songs and iKON as a whole. First how I feel about iKON and then, MV reviews. Thanks to Colorcoded lyrics for the translations and color coding the members’ parts.
Within a couple of a days, the BTS 화양연화 On Stage Prologue has become one of the most viewed entries on my site. First of all, thank you fellow A.R.M.Y. and non-A.R.M.Y. for coming to read the theory and I hope it answered your questions about the video. Some have shared the post in other places, and for that, I thank you. Every little bit helps.
I have seen the search terms which brought many here. Sadly some of the terms that linked my site didn’t happen to answer questions inputted in the search bar. So this post will be a follow up to some of the questions asked before the second part of the Most Beautiful Moment in Life happens in October.
