I totally got lost in everything didn’t I? I didn’t even mention when my blog was only one month old. But now it’s two!… and I don’t have anything to show for celebration. I’m happy to be writing and sharing my thoughts and information. So thank you to everyone who’s come across my blog and have read my posts. Especially you, yes you, the person who returns to this little space every so often to check in for updates.
I promise I’ll get more on a writing schedule. The only thing that seems to be set in stone is the RANKING WARS which will be posted every other Saturday. So if you’re new around these parts, that will come out next Saturday, not tomorrow. (And check out of the previous ones to get yourself caught up!) I will try do a music view on Mondays.
There are so many things I’m behind on…but between real life, health, and just everything, I haven’t had the time. I haven’t even had the time to study and my plan was to do a chapter a day. But then my health failed, I got sick, and now I’m going to PT for my back. So yeah, I’m trying to play catch up. My plan is still be semi-fluent and or understand 80% of the conversations for when BIGBANG comes around in October, so I still have some time. This is talking about teaching myself Korean, by the way.
So really, RANKING WARS every other Saturday, music reviews hopefully every Monday, and maybe artist impressions (not imitations) on… I’ll pick some day of the week, maybe Thursday, and for obvious reasons, news will come randomly. I’m actually trying to put some other ideas together, so hopefully they’ll be incorporated before the year it out.
In closing, thank you thank you thank you!~
I can’t call myself a B2UTY, but I do enjoy listening to BEAST’s music. I did a small review on 일하러 가야 돼 so now I’m expanding onto their new single, YeY.
Watch the music video below and I’ll give my thoughts on it after.
(Whoops, this was supposed to go up yesterday. Ranking Wars will come out twice a month, every other Saturday. Well that’s the plan anyway.)
Here’s the next artist up in RANKING WARS – 방탄소년단 (BTS) Released singles only!
So despite the train wreck that is EXO (seems to be recovering now!), I’ve been looking forward to TAO’s album to see what he can do. I don’t know much about the Chinese music market, but I’m thinking there’s more singers than rappers out there. So I was curious to see how TAO fit it because SM Entertainment marketed him as a rapper.
I definitely didn’t expect 2 out of 3 tracks to be singing. I actually figured the ratio would have been the other way around.
As mentioned, my expectations were high because I was interested in knowing what TAO could do and…
(On to happier and non-death threat related things… finally right?)
So first off I want to say that I found the title of the track odd, but guess it’s not that odd when I’ve noticed that songs about shirts, sweaters and jeans seem to be the norm.
This is on BEAST’s 일하러 가야 돼 (Gotta go to Work). Watch the MV below and I’ll give my thoughts.
So, please calm down about this. Yes, he was wrong for what he said and should have been more careful but understand that he more than likely did not mean for it to allude to race. And if this part is true: don’t go around issuing threats or planning to do mean and harmful actions towards him during their concerts. Doing so won’t make you any better than him. And I’ve seen it going around on social media and I agree: instead of threats or ill-willed intentions, educate. It’s more powerful, I can assure you of that.
WHELP IT HAPPENED. The above is a direct quote from my previous blog post. I wasn’t able to attend the The Red Bullet concert in NY because I learned of BTS too late and on top of that, the tickets were sold out by the time I even knew they were doing a concert.
We’ve jumped from one group to another… So here I am writing another post… except this time, I’m sort of angry.
I had no idea about this until it was brought to my attention that Rap Monster made what seemed like a racial joke, calling V and J-Hope ‘black’ in reference that when it was night out, he couldn’t find/see them.
I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I have the unlucky ability to understand BOTH sides of the story. So here’s my take on this.
Another informal, not quite thought out/planned post. So if you remember my previous EXO related post, TAO was removed from the official EXO-M FB page. Since then, the following has happened. There are a lot of pingback links in this post so you can somewhat accurately follow along with the information I know.
In my attempt to fall asleep last night (which started out poorly), I was thinking about the EXO songs I’ve listened to and which songs I liked that most people didn’t. Next thing I knew I was ranking them from least favorite to favorite. So I decided to share this with you. I’ll try to do this on a weekly or at least bi-weekly basis. It’ll probably be easier for me to do this for recent groups since a lot of the older groups I have been following have been putting out a lot of songs, so it’ll be higher. So this might be a new feature for the blog that I hope you’ll be able to look forward to.
This for EXO’s Discography. Songs are ranked, starting from favorite/listened to to least favorite/most listened to. These song specifically deal with EXO/EXO-K. I’ll have a ranking for EXO-M in the future I hope. The titles have links, so feel free to click. These are the songs released as singles, not their entire discography
Slightly an informal, but quick post by me.
I’m sure you might have heard by now, but as of roughly two days ago, on the official EXO-M Facebook page, TAO was removed from the members section. And for irony, in the bio section, all the members of EXO-M are listed, except for Kris.
